GPT-6 Intelligent UI is not yet a reason to redesign your company’s workflows. If you use ChatGPT Business or Enterprise, begin with a bounded pilot in the Chat tab. Use real, anonymised Hungarian business questions, verify the calculations, then measure whether the chart, form or interactive comparison reduced the time needed to reach a reviewed result.
For Enterprise, make the workspace administrator responsible for the pilot because availability depends on workspace admin settings. Teams working mainly in Work, Codex, Voice or the Pro reasoning option do not need a new workflow because of this release. Keep persistent, shared calculators in an internal application: component state does not carry across chat threads.
Which parts of ChatGPT does the 7 October release affect?
OpenAI began the global rollout of GPT-6 with Intelligent UI on 7 October 2026 for Plus, Pro, Business and Enterprise in the Chat tab. Free and Go followed from the next day. The ChatGPT release notes say that Plus, Pro, Business and Enterprise use GPT-6 Sol for this experience, while Free and Go use GPT-6 Luna.
Intelligent UI can arrange text, graphics, buttons, forms, charts and interactive controls in one response. It might present a comparison side by side, explain a rule through a diagram or turn a calculation into a usable calculator. A conventional text answer remains available when that format fits the question better.
The launch announcement reports more than 1.2 billion weekly ChatGPT users. The company reports that GPT-6 Instant starts answering web-search questions 44% sooner on average than GPT-5.6 Instant. The figure refers to the time until the answer starts.
Where can an interactive answer help a Hungarian business task?
In procurement, Intelligent UI could place prices, terms and exceptions from supplier offers side by side. For an internal calculation, it could expose the formula and entered values. When explaining an approval rule, it could show the sequence as a diagram. Each case lets you check the content separately from the presentation.
| Task | What should you inspect? | When does the interface help? |
|---|---|---|
| Comparing supplier offers | Does each price, condition and exception belong to the correct offer? | When the side-by-side view shortens the review time |
| Calculator or form | Are the formula, units and entered values correct? | When a reviewer can reproduce the result independently |
| Explaining an internal process | Does the diagram match the approved order of steps? | When employees can find the step that applies to them more quickly |
| Simple text question | Is the response easier to read and copy into a document? | When visual elements do not interrupt the reading flow |
*The feature descriptions come from OpenAI’s Intelligent UI help page. The review questions are decision controls for the pilot.*
Before broader use, test Hungarian labels, layouts and interactive components on your own questions. Check decimal-comma notation, the display of units and whether Hungarian labels fit inside buttons and tables. Choose work with a known correct answer and genuine day-to-day relevance. The AI Use Case Evaluator can help rank the tasks to test.
Where is Intelligent UI unavailable?
The release applies to Chat. The release notes state that the models behind Work and Codex do not change. Intelligent UI is unavailable in the Work tab and Voice. The Pro reasoning option continues to use GPT-6 Astra, which does not support the interface. Other reasoning settings support Intelligent UI from Instant through Extra High.
| How the team uses ChatGPT today | Reasonable decision | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Staff compare offers or explain rules in Chat | Run a limited pilot | The new interface directly affects this use |
| Tasks run in Work or Codex | Keep the current process | The models behind those products are unchanged in this release |
| Staff work through Voice | Defer the Intelligent UI test | The feature is unavailable in Voice |
| The task requires Pro reasoning | Do not base the decision on this interface | GPT-6 Astra does not support Intelligent UI |

Treat the quality of GPT-6 Sol and the usability of Intelligent UI as separate questions. If you also want to compare the model with an earlier version, the guide to retesting GPT-6 Sol and Luna provides a framework for selecting tasks.

A well-organised interface still requires checked calculations
A clear table or a calculator that appears to work can be persuasive. Its formula, input or source may still be wrong. During the pilot, inspect the result first and judge the presentation afterwards.
For a calculator, ask ChatGPT to display the formula and units, then reproduce the result independently. For a comparison, inspect the criteria it applied and any conditions it left out. For a process diagram, compare the sequence with the approved internal procedure.
The Intelligent UI help page says users can choose the Simple layout on the web. This reduces visual and interactive elements, although some may still appear. Custom Instructions can request concise responses or tables for comparisons, but the exact layout can vary.
A checklist may retain its state when the same thread is refreshed. State does not carry into another thread. Connected plugins such as Gmail, Health and Finance continue to work in ChatGPT.
OpenAI also says more work is needed to improve the model’s design judgement. Repeat important tasks and check content accuracy before evaluating the generated presentation.
An earlier answer does not establish business payback
OpenAI’s reported 44% difference does not show whether an employee reaches a correct decision sooner. Total working time also includes reading, checking calculations and correcting mistakes. In the pilot, measure the time until an acceptable, reviewed result is ready.
Subscription pricing is a separate procurement question. For an existing subscriber, the immediate evaluation cost is mainly the staff time spent preparing tasks, reviewing responses and documenting failures. A prospective buyer should request current commercial terms and examine how much review each accepted answer requires before treating the interface as a reason to purchase a plan.
How should you build a pilot that supports a decision?
- Assign one owner. On Enterprise, let the workspace administrator manage availability, participants and the approved task set.
- Choose real work with verifiable answers. Include a supplier comparison, a calculation and an explanation of an internal rule. Anonymise the business data first.
- Define the correct result in advance. Write down the formula, mandatory comparison criteria and approved process steps.
- Evaluate content and interface separately. Record whether the result was correct, whether the Hungarian labels were clear, whether the response copied cleanly into a document and how much review it required.
- Repeat the important tasks. Check whether the numbers and conclusions remain consistent when the generated layout changes.
- Decide task by task. Expand access only where the interactive format shortened review without creating more correction work.
